The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) on Wednesday formed a three-member ad-hoc committee, days after the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) was suspend. This committee will be head by Bhupinder Singh Bajwa. The move comes a day after the Union Sports Ministry on Sunday directed the IOA to form a committee to manage the affairs of the now-suspended WFI. Bhupinder Singh Bajwa is currently serving as the President of Wushu Association of India. The committee includes hockey Olympian MM Somaya and former international badminton player Manjusha Kanwar. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on Sunday, December 24, suspended the Wrestling Federation of India, soon after the conclusion of the elections last week.
