Ashima Shiraishi is the cutest most bad-ass rock climber ever

Ashima Shiraishi is a 4-foot-5 Japanese-American 11-year old girl who can kick anyone’s ass rock climbing. She grew up climbing boulders in Central Park when she was 6 – her parents came to the US from Japan in 1978 – and for the past couple of years has been dominating some of the hardest climbs in the world including the Crown of Aragorn, a V13 (do you know how hard that is??) near El Paso that most adult professional climbers can’t flash. Yes, she does have the advantage of being tiny. But that doesn’t make her any less badass.

Here’s a recent story about her in the NY Times.

  1. My fps dropped since BWE3 dont know if it’s due to a pasting job by Dell on my machine or GW2 related. I was running 40 fps on highest settings in PvE but when I entered sPvP it dropped and when I started recording well Gold thats when all hell broke loose and I got stuttering with an astonishing 9 fps. I had the same recorder and same settings as in BWE3 but back then it didnt cause stuttering even when recording hopefully they’re still fixing all sorts of stuff because they said the game wasn’t going to be that demanding and considering I purchased an Alienware M14x R2 which is widely advertised along with GW2 I assume i’d have no issues with running the game on it. at character select I was getting 17 fps. Weird thing though – while playing it didn’t feel like it was that low at all… I was dumb and forgot to double check it in game.
