Asahi Shimbun reports that a new museum dedicated to the life and art of Fujiko Fujio will open in Kawasaki next year.
To clarify: Fujiko Fujio was originally the pen name for two artists working as a team — Hiroshi Fujimoto and Moto Abiko. But they didn’t work on everything together. For example, Obake no Q-taro was created by both together, but Fujimoto was responsible for the Doraemon series while Abiko created Ninja Hattori-kun and Pro-Golfer Saru. All of them are amazing classic manga franchises, but it sounds like this new museum is mostly dedicated to the work of Fujimoto, and will be located near his home.
