Family taking pics in front of Tokyo Tower

I just thought this was a cute moment, taken from the Mori Art Museum.

  1. I think Tokyo is an ugly sea of concrete when viewed from a vantage point like this during the day, the smog doesn’t help at all, but at night it’s quite beautiful. This viewing area is actually named Tokyo City View and it only costs 1000¥. The Mori Art Museum is separate with an additional cost. Anyways, the night hides the gray. Here’s a shrunk down shot from December 2008. It was windy that day, so the air was relatively clear.

Wow, I guess it was clear. I looked at the original and I can easily pick out the Ferris Wheel at Kasai Rinkai Koen and those lights in the distance are from Chiba prefecture, about 30 kilometers/20 miles.

  2. Sorry, I did not see the forest for the trees.
It is a great candid shot and it’s really cool when you can spot the opportunity. I think candid photos of children are best because it reminds people of the carefree lives they, hopefully, had as a child and are able to vicariously enjoy.
